A 1.6mm thick ADSR front panel - 5U high, 1U wide (nominal 8.75 x 1.75") made from a semi-rigid plastic material laser engraved to give a hard wearing surface. As a material, it is not suitable for being used without some form of rigid backing material (see below).

We find that when using our panel mounting components such as pots and sockets, you can mount this panel to a rigid backboard of up to 3mm thick. The backboard can be plywood or Aluminium (ideally used 6082T6 or 5251 H22 grades as these are 'stiffer' than low grade 1050 types) for example and the panel component fixings will hold the two layers together. If you use a 3mm thick backboard, it does not leave enough thread length to use MFOS PCB mounting brackets but we have our own solution to this, our routed and tapped aluminium back panels.

Each panel is supplied ready engraved, cut to size with all holes cut out. The cut-outs suit the panel components we provide so check these out if you are using your own bits to ensure the diameters are suitable. We are can provide different size cut-outs on request although there will be an additional nominal charge to cover the extra labour time.

The panel is slightly different from the panel proposed by Ray Wilson at the project page for this module, since it doesn't have the "output level" pot. I see from the project page that a 1K resistor should be added between the pot and the output jack socket. With your current panel design, do I need that resistor ? Where do I put it?
