Hello,
I have recently taken on a robot project and am using "x2 Bosch 750W 24V Motors" in conjunction with a "Vantec RDFR47E ESC" and "x2 Golf 36Ah AGM SLA batteries".

BUT, one of the motors (purchased from you) have been dropped in the past and 2 of the 4 permanent magnets have shattered.
I have glued the remaining 2 good magnets in place and the motor work fine (but obviously not half as powerful/power efficient as with the original 4 magnets inside).

Does Technobots sell replacement permanent magnets for the "Bosch 750W 24V" type motor, and if so how much do they cost???

If not, do you know of any other places I can obtain some from? (As I have tried to contact Bosch, but with no success)

Thank you for your time,
Daniel Cooper.

Daniel,

Spares are not available for this motor. We do know of customers who have burnt out their motors in robot combat by stalling them for too long. What this means is that there are probably used spare parts lurking in builders garages. I would suggest that you post a question on the Fighting Robots Association FRA forum http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/forum.htm and see what comes up. Always nice to link back to us in your post for cross promotion. Good luck.

I am building a yacht. For that matter I need 25 bosch 24V 750W motors - two times 10 for driving the propels and 5 for driving a flettnerrotor. But but but... Is it posible to change the brushes/carbons when they are worn out?
what is your availabillity for this model?

Hi,

That's a lot of kW for a yacht, we have had customer use about 2kW for an electric outboard motor. Whilst the brushes may be able to be replaced Bosch have never been able to supply spare brushes or magnets in the UK - throw away motor I guess. You can see the Bosch internals here http://www.technobots.co.uk/Technical/Guidance/BoschMagMod.htm From memory the brush braids are crimped in place. The brushes do last a long time as the motors are continuously rated, in fact I've not heard from any customers requesting a replacement. Whilst we have discontinued them from our website as a stock item, we still can obtain them. Delivery depends but typically 2-4 weeks.
